There is ‘care’ in its loveliest sense (N/A here), then there is this ‘real-world-care’:
Where did this cray demand for care come from? Caregivers are groomed to think they should care whilst the cared-for are positioned to think they are entitled to be cared for. Lie! Caregivers and the cared-for are both suffocated and victimized by this overwhelming slurp-up. Caregivers suffer time, financial and emotional levies, while the cared-for is guilt-tripped about it, into either Arthur or Martha’s oblivion — typical dumpster fire.
The truth is, each being should be taught and ingrained in holistic self-care (at the point at which it’s self-sustainably possible) to avoid being burdened or being a burden.
Living by this example de facto, empowers others who have been genuinely screwed over by born-into-shittywok-circumstances, to climb out of a long drop. Care, but also example it as such. Or not. Do what you want.
Amuse bouche:
Honestly — and really now — drop your trixie and ask yourself:
Do you want to care-give, because you “need” to or do you need to care-give because you want to?
Do you want to be cared for (yes it’s delicious) or do you need to be cared for (of course - what is the point of a woman if she cannot look to her man?)
(A here).
